There are so many opportunities to interact and engage with the rich history of Oxford and Western Campus. They give anyone interested the opportunity to relive, reconstruct, and retell. It is my hope that the Freedom Summer events (Exhibits, Walking Tour, DIM play, 45th Anniversary Conference) will cause the attendees to relive 1964 and put themselves in the shoes of those who experienced the freedom summer struggles, victories, and transformations, then reconstruct or rather form an opinion or thinking about themselves in relation to what happened. The question we're pushing is, "would you go?" Lastly, after experiencing all of the wonderful things this collective project has to offer, telling everyone you know to experience one or all of the facets this occasion has to offer.
